Create a Compelling Future
Rahul was a loving and caring person, but was equally passionate and ambitious in life. He was always supported by his wife and other family members. Even they started sharing the big dreams which they never imagined before Rahul. He was admired in his business fraternity due to his fervent and optimistic approach. He made sure to make each and every day a compassionate one.
Rahul mostly believed he should prove himself and do what others were thinking of him. And with that approach in mind he started diluting his time and effort on multiple things, instead of focusing on one.
The seed of hard work and true determination which he implanted around him started sprouting up. His career was prospering in every aspect. The dreams started becoming reality and the happiness was immeasurable. He was soon known as a renowned businessman and people around him started looking up to him. His friends and family felt immensely proud of him. He started many ventures which were ultimately handled by someone else instead of him. As we say, we cannot hold the sunlight in an enclosed container. Even success and achievement are the same. People around us will have a glimpse of it and get attracted to it.
But in the race of success, Rahul forgot with whom he wants to enjoy success. The idea of achievement made him far away from his family and friends. He was left with no time and peace of mind for them. He always wanted others to understand him, but didn’t even try to empathize with them. Yes, he was a passionate and mind blowing businessman but while setting his goals he forgot to answer a few questions. He didn’t analyze that WHERE, WHEN and WITH WHOM he wanted to see his goal fulfilled. The only Mantra which Rahul followed was ‘WHATEVER IT TAKES’. And that served him with broken marriage, failed friendship and estranged children.
At the end Rahul had everything but was left with nothing. What exactly went wrong? What was his mistake? Even after willing to give the best in life to his own people, where did he fail?
Let’s unfold the mystery…………
Sometimes in our rush to attain goals, we can lose track of the rest of our lives.. And the essence of our life is not simply SUCCESS. If we don’t have peace and happiness in proper weight, then all our efforts seem meaningless.
The question that arises now is what we should do that we don’t see such a situation ever in life. Let me simplify it for everyone. Just follow this checklist of six goal conditions to make sure our goals are well formed:-
- The goal we see should be positive- It should be what to do, but we need to shortlist that after we realize What not to do?
- We WANT to do the goal. It’s a “WANT”, not a “SHOULD”.
- We should be the one doing it. NOT someone else.
- WE can do it- It’s not impossible.
- The goal is specific and not general.
- And the most important one -The goal is ecologically certified, i.e. We can anticipate the effects of the goal and make sure they have a positive effect on people we care for.
